After confirmed payment and installation, open Manage server. Wait for “Game server connected” in Console.
Set your world details
Open Startup to read your unique world password and set a simple server name. Keep the password private and different from the world name. The initial server is private and unlisted. Changing WORLD selects or creates another world; it does not rename the old save.
Join your world
Copy the assigned game address and base port. In Valheim use Join Game → Add server, enter the address/port, then the password. Some Steam tools use the next query port. Both are reserved for your server.
Import an existing world
Stop before importing. Saves are under saves/worlds_local; copy the entire matching world folder, including chunk files and metadata, and keep its name aligned with WORLD. The tested 1.0 release uses .db2, .fwl2 and chunk files; do not copy only one file. Older exports may use .db and .fwl; ask support to check conversion compatibility before replacing anything. Keep the original export.
Save and back up
Use Start, Stop and Restart. Saves occur periodically and on graceful shutdown. Avoid forcing a stop during saving. Create a completed backup before imports and updates. Panel backup slots are separate from Valheim's rotating saves.
Restore a snapshot
To restore: stop, download current data, select a completed backup, restore, then start and check the expected world. Older snapshots omit newer progress.
Invite players safely
Share the join address/password with players, not your account login. Limit collaborator panel permissions.
Keep versions compatible
Version mismatch needs an update. Updates are controlled rather than silently changing a running world. Arrange the supported update with support and take a backup.
Get connection support
For support, provide the order reference, game version and visible error. Never send account passwords, RCON secrets or card details.
